Mama Vox

Janet is the musical director of MAMA VOX a non-auditioned community ladies' singing group based in Walton on Thames. The choir is accompanied by Camilla Jeppeson.

Mama Vox meet on Wednesday evenings to rehearse at the Riverhouse Barn in Walton on Thames from 8.00-9.30. Ladies are encouraged to meet at 7.45pm for a cuppa and a catch up!

Any lady can join Mama Vox. The repertoire ranges from light popular music to classical, usually sung in 3 part harmony though occasionally there are forays into 4 parts! Each week, Janet takes everybody through a vocal warm up and the group works on the current repertoire. There is plenty of time to enjoy the music. Janet's humour and relaxed approach makes for an enjoyable evening with a purpose!

Mama Vox often takes part in fundraising activities:
We worked with Walton Charities in partnership with The Bike Project which provides training for young people on job seeker’s allowance and the equipment we purchased will be used in their level 2 course starting in September.
